Wars of the End Times: The Great War and the Indian Expedition
Islam has provided us with many details regarding events that will unfold in the End Times. Among these events, the great wars are both a test for the believers and signs of the approaching Day of Judgment. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned two significant wars that will occur in the End Times: The Great War (Melhame-i Kübra) and The Indian Expedition (Gazve-i Hind).
The Great War (Melhame-i Kübra)
The Great War (Melhame-i Kübra), also known as Armageddon, is a massive conflict between the forces of good and evil, which will be so monumental that it will change the fate of the world. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) described this war in the following words:
“Before the Hour is established, the Romans (the Western world) will camp at A’mak or Dabiq (in modern-day Syria). An army from Medina will confront them. This army will be composed of the best people on earth at that time.”
(Sahih Muslim, Hadith No: 2897)
This war will take place near Sham (the Levant) and Jerusalem, where the Muslims will battle the armies of disbelief. The battle will be bloody and difficult, with great losses on both sides. However, in the end, the Muslims will emerge victorious.
The Significance of The Great War
The Great War will mark the beginning of a period of purification and change on earth. After this war, Prophet Isa (Jesus, AS) will descend to earth, and an era of justice and peace will begin. Muslims will live in unity and strength once again.
The Indian Expedition (Gazve-i Hind)
The Indian Expedition (Gazve-i Hind) is another significant battle mentioned in the hadiths of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This war will take place in the Indian region, and Muslims will achieve victory in it. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
“A group from my Ummah will fight in India. Allah will grant them victory, and they will chain the kings of India. Allah will forgive all their sins. When they return, they will find Isa (AS) in Sham.”
(Sunan an-Nasa’i, Kitab al-Jihad)
The Significance of the Indian Expedition
This battle is seen as an important struggle where Muslims will re-establish justice and truth in the Indian region. The Indian Expedition will be a test where Muslims will achieve victory through sacrifice, patience, and strong faith.
Muhammad Qasim bin Abdulkarim’s Dream of the Indian Expedition
Muhammad Qasim bin Abdulkarim is known for his significant dreams about events in the End Times. In one of his dreams, he saw a vision related to the Indian Expedition. In the dream, Muslims faced great difficulties and injustice in India, but with Allah’s help, they achieved victory.
In this vision, Muslim armies were fighting against tyrannical forces in India, and in the end, they were victorious with Allah’s permission. This vision reminded that the Indian Expedition is not just a physical battle, but also a spiritual and moral test.
Lessons from These Wars
Both The Great War (Melhame-i Kübra) and The Indian Expedition (Gazve-i Hind) are not only historical events but also contain valuable lessons for Muslims:
1. Persevering in Faith: These wars show the importance of strengthening our faith in Allah and remaining patient in the face of difficulties.
2. Unity of the Ummah: Victory in both wars depends on the unity and solidarity of the Muslim community.
3. Preparation for the End Times: Warnings such as Muhammad Qasim’s dream remind us of the need to make spiritual and moral preparations for the tribulations of the End Times.
Conclusion
The great wars of the End Times, The Great War (Melhame-i Kübra) and The Indian Expedition (Gazve-i Hind), are events through which Muslims will undergo great trials but ultimately achieve victory by Allah’s will. These wars teach us the need to strengthen our faith, be patient, and trust in Allah.
May Allah (SWT) make us among those who pass these trials successfully and attain salvation on the Day of Judgment. Ameen.
